06 G35 3.5mm Aux Cord Install? (No SAT)
I just got a 06 g35x sedan. It has a 30 pin iPod input. The problem is that I have an iPhone 7 with ightning port, and I've read everywhere that adapters don't work.
I just want to play music from my phone, either with a 3.5mm aux or lightning plug into my factory stereo. I feel like it is definitely possible, but can't seem to find anyone who has done it online.
Some adapters say you have to have SAT/CAT. I've got a PTY/CAT as seen above. Will any of these work? Any recommendations?
Skeptical if hear will work or not:

I use a Grom Bluetooth adapter which also has an optional 3.5mm jack. I mostly use it in bluetooth setting, but sometimes if a passenger wants to play something real quick its easier to just plug in the 3.5.
Specifically, I'm using the Grom BT03-NIS02, which is included in wrathernaut's sticky under "type #1":

And djtalon's guide here:

In addition to using it for music, it's super convenient for taking calls as well with the external mic. Quality is reportedly good from the people I've asked on the other end of the line.

These cars don't come with iPod support, so you have something aftermarket installed. You have an '06, so getting to the adapter should be very easy. Look at the radio removal instructions in the DDin install guide, you probably only have to remove the shifter base to find the adapter, since under the radio is a common spot for these adapters.
Determine the type of adapter you already have installed, many of the iPod ones also have AUX input options as well.
