Where is the best place to run back up camera wires

Should I drill a hole in my trunk? I don't really want to run it under the vehicle the whole way. Also Does anyone have a wiring diagram of the reverse wiring? I need to tap it in order to get the camera to get power only when in reverse.

No drilling required if you put it by the license plate. Just goes through the space above the plate. Follow the wires to/from the license plate lights into the trunk, the grommet the wires go through has plenty of room for a few more wires.
