Where to mount aftermarket amp?
I was hoping to mount an aftermarket amp where the bose amp goes in my coupe -- but then I opened the trunk to see that the bose is about the size of a pack of Marlboros (although it's not as heavy as a pack of Marlboros). Are there any aftermarket amps that can be mounted stealthily in roughly the same place (i.e., not on the back of the rear seat)? I'm looking to keep the bose HU, lose the amp, and use another amp that can drive everything (like, 5 channels) with a bit more power -- but still keep the "stock" look.
Thanks, guys!

I was able to install my JL 250 above the bose amp, when you take everything apart the bose amp is mounted upside down on a bracket allowing plenty of room for you to mount the 250 above it in a normal state.
Can any of you take a picture of the stock amp and its location. Many of the questions here on the Audio section can be annihilated by pictures and a few words.

I personally would not mount the amp under the seat. It is nice and concealed, but cannot breathe and will probably overheat.
I took my stereo to get installed yesterday and hoping to get it back today, probably not, but I will post pics. My subs are definately going to be mounted in the trunk, more than likely with an amp rack.

I would but I'm at school and don't have any tools here to get to the location. Its not very hard to do yourself.
1. Take out the trunk mat and then the other mat that covers the spare tire.
2. Remove the spare tire, its held down just by something you hand turn.
3. On the left hand side in the middle of the black plastic piece there is one 10mm bolt, remove that and then pull the whole black plastic piece out.
4. The bose amp will be mounted upside down to a bracket near the rear of the car. And then behind it will be the sat receiver if your car is equipped with one.
