single din possible in 04 g35?

Hey guys, one of the concerns i have with the G35 is the radio. It has no aux or usb/Bluetooth and that simply can not happen....

My question is this, i've had stereos put in cars before with little to no problems. I've heard that these g35's are a real pain for all the work you have to do. i have a single din stereo that i really like and was wondering if it's worth putting a single din player in these or if you must use a double. Thanks guys!

It's obviously possible, just need the extra cubby (or block off the bottom completely). But as cheap as stereos are now, I'm not sure why you wouldn't get a double din. You can get them from lesser known brands for cheap af. The one in my Insight cost me $110 new. It's not as nice as the appradio3 that's in the G, but it does 90% of the same ****. Doesn't look as good as the appradio3 either, but it looks a million times better than a single din.

Haha try ~$1100 if you want a JDM kit. $900-1000 if you want that metra garbage.

You'll need a HU, a dash kit, 4 speakers, a 4-channel amp (it's a full cabin car, you'll need an amp), steerng wheel controls, antenna adapter, speaker mounts, wiring harness, rca cables, you'll probably break the clock trim, cuz it's old and brittle, so that's another ~$110 from Infiniti.

And that's if you do it all yourself and not even including a sub if you wanna go that route.

speaker mounts? what? speakers and a HU would cost me close to 600 Canadian, the trim piece is another 200USD. add a wiring harness and the extra's. I really don't think an amp is needed unless you want real power.

What were yer previous cars? if they were 2-seater or single cab trucks you can get by with the power of a good stereo. In a full sized, 4-seat cabin tho the sound simply does not fill the space.

For instance, with the appradio3 I had to turn my volume up to 38 (max is 40) to simply hear it adequately. You do NOT want to push the internal amp like that. There's no headroom and the sound quality is absolute garbage. With an amp, I can't turn it past 15 without blowing my brains out, and it's crystal clear.

Meanwhile, as I stated, my insight is a 2 seater hatch and has a stereo with 360w built in amp (driving 2-speakers) and it's BARELY adequate without an amp. If you wanna build a shitty system that you'll regret spending $600 on, then by all means, do ya'thang. Just tryin to help ya out, bud.
