Disabled Menu Options in NAV

Disabled Menu Options in NAV
Once you start driving, many options are disabled in the navigation system. Does anyone know of a way to remove this "feature"? I figured it could be accomplished in two ways but don't know who would have information. 1. Unlocking sequence using the standard interface to enable it during each use. 2. New ROM that contains programming that does not restrict features while driving. Any ideas for this would be greatly appreciated. I love my new '03 Garnet Fire G35 Sedan, Loaded, w/Navi. My only complaint is with the Nav features disabled.

Re: Disabled Menu Options in NAV
I'd like to see a way to disable this too. I can understand the safety issues about playing with the NAV while driving, but it is a little anoying especially if you have a passenger that's doing the navigating. Maybe they could have a warning screen come up telling you to only let the passenger use the locked-out functions. That way they warned you first, but then allowed the passenger to make the entries. If you decide to program the NAV from the driver's seat while you are moving, and something happens, it's your fault, and Nissan is off the hook.

You can set a destination from your address book, or go through the Quick Stop menu, but you can't go anywhere that would require you to punch in a name on the virtual keyboard thingy.
There's also the Short Menu option.. if you have short menus on, you may not notice, as there's less to disable in the first place.
