Jdm double din question

Was looking at the double din to upgrade and I notice the jdm option has with navi and without navi. Now, my car has navi but a buddy of mine is selling without navi jdm double din. What's the difference between the two? Can I use the without navi jdm kit on my with navi radio?

no it wont fit, the navi kit is shorter to accomidate the screen. the non nav kit is longee and is meant to be used with the pocket. nav kit can be used but it would have be cut.

So if my buddy is selling it for 200, is it worth trying to cut it?

It depends on the year. 03/4 we're the same whether you had Navi or not.

First - 03/04 needs no modification from what I know (only done - a lot of - 05/06's). So if it's 03/04, you're set.

For 05/06 - easily worth $200, so long as it's coming with the climate controls.

I did a complete how-to on modifying them to fit, and if you really don't want to do it, I still have the tool needed to do it (extra-long hacksaw).

The how-to is here, including pictures of the ones I've modified myself, and I think a couple people who used the guide took pictures of theirs too.

And if you want me to do it, you have to pay shipping both ways, but otherwise I do it for the love of modding.
