Hey all!

I was curious what the best double din kit is for my 07 g35 coupe is? I've heard good things about both the jdm kit and the scosche kit, but I think jdm kit would be the best.

Does anyone have a preferred vendor for purchasing the dash kit? Also what is a good double din with Apple Car Play?

In doing your research make sure you are very thorough. If you were so far you would know that the Scosche is available for the 03-04 models only. JDM is the best you can buy so go with that. Ebay has them from time to time at a decent price and the best DD is subjective, different people have different needs/opinions so I'd suggest you do a search here for opinions and on Google to help make your decision.

 

I think everyone who bought the metra kit including myself wishes they went with the JDM DD

 

i had the metra. didnt bother me at all and worked great. and was cheap

 

You would buy the metra again? ONLY reason I got the metra was because it came free from crutchfield with a purchase. The metra looks out dated. The color also isn't an exact match. It's not too noticeable but its not perfect. The jdm also seemed to be priced a lot higher than it is now

Crutchfield is a great site. If money is an issue, go for it. But nobody will agree that it looks better than the jdm. If I had to do it again, I'd sell my free metra and put it towards the jdm. I was 17 or 18 at the time so money was an issue I guess. I had some guy try to sell me the metra for $300. He let me behind the counter to show him the metra kit from crutchfield because he didn't believe me on the price. Wouldn't even look it up himself

 

Is this a JDM double din kit? and does it allow me to keep my factory navigation?
