Again the ASWC-1...Button Issues

And I'm back... The ASWC-1 seems to have a hitch in its giddy up. Volume UP and Volume DOWN work fine. So does Seek UP and Seek DOWN. But the middle buttons, which should be Hook On and Hook Off, then Mode are crazy. Mode/Source is mapped to the button that looks like Hook On/Off. Then the button that looks like Mode/Source does nothing. Reset the ASWC-1 a couple times and still the same thing. Anyone have a clue how I get the right function on the proper buttons in the middle for mode and phone calls?

Yup, that is how it is supposed to work. I did the auto-program and it did assign the correct functions to all the buttons. Except, the buttons on my steering wheel are labeled differently than yours since my car didnt come with a phone function.

Heres how the buttons look on my steering wheel:

Everything works except for the power button. I couldnt get it to work even by trying to program it manually. I just assumed the ASWC is just not capable of programming that button. But, u can see why yours is acting differently. The ASWC was designed to work accordingly with the buttons on my type of steering wheel...not yours.

If you never use the phone function , I guess u could just swap out your buttons to the same ones as mine.

Your explanation makes sense. I never used either of those buttons before, so it's really not a big deal. Would be nice to map them to something though. Oh well, thanks for the validation.

Think you are onto something here. I'm going to get one and report back on the differences. Thanks for the tip!
