No Volume on the radio but powers on

Hi everyone, i recently swapped everything for an 05 g35 manual to a g 35 auto shell and cant get the volume to work on the radio. So i have power to the radio and can search all the stations and the rest but no volume. I read up online and used the sequence to turn the amp on ( so holding the radio power button down and turning the ignition key on to acc 2) this did not work as i tried numerous times. The sequence i found was shown on an 03 g35 where the power button is separate on the panel board. The 05 g 35 doesn't have the same setup. Over all question is what should i do to fix this? Also how can i check if the amp is the problems? Because i did not swap the amp from the donor shell i am still running the 03 amp.

No there is no static nothing at all.

Yo Blue Dream chill with your online bully brah, if you have nothing positive to add don't replay. If you are suggesting something correctly do state which thread i should post under after you take a written dump. Some people might be new to thing and usually need time to adjust to a forum. Love you Blue Dream, hope someone gives you a hug sometime soon, cheers Blue.

Make sure that power is getting to the Amp.

Kinda difficult to troubleshoot an issue like this over the internet honestly.

He's the most active moderator on this forum and you posted in the wrong place, don't get offended that he's doing his job.

Hehehe not offended one bit . This site and all of you as a community have been a huge asset. But if the most active member / moderator is allowed to just point out others mistakes without telling them how those mistakes should be corrected then i don't see how that is a good thing? Because he is the most active moderator that should give him the right to call others mistakes without suggesting how to correct them? I appreciate his most active moderator status. But i keep my previous statement. If there is nothing supportive or positive to be said then why try and use your status for negativity. Should we not all be helping each other? After all is that not what this site is all about? Or is there a hierarchy that i am not aware of and that others should bow down once they join? Don't mean to replay to you like this. But if people don't speak out then the most active moderators should try and use their status to put down any other members? Your body of work here is incredible but there is no need for bullying anywhere. Be supportive is the way to go. If you have time to write that someone posted in the wrong place. Then a few more words of guidance to direct them the right way can't be too much work. Love for everyone, Cheers

There shouldnt be a sequence to powering the amp. Im pretty sure the power comes on as soon as the head unit is turned on.

Big thanks Scorpi0, i will go in more detailed search and even switch the amp over the weekend and see what happens. I found some video online stating it needed a power on sequence so i figured i would ask. Cheers

If you think this is me being a bully and a written dump methinks you have way bigger issues than a radio problem. Just because you're "new to thing and need time to adjust" I want to believe you read the forum rules which state to post threads in appropriate places among many other things. But alas, you probably didn't which is sad because it's a great place to find out what to do and what not to do. I do have 1325 "likes" from my posts so apparently I am a helpful member of the community.

If you ever get to Texas I'd be happy to give you a hug, seems you're the one that needs one......
