I had a few sheets of Focal's Plain Chant placed behind the K2P's but otherwise I didn't have any sound deadening installed. The installer said it wouldn't make much of a difference if any.
The Midbass is very strong, you can really feel it against your legs, and it is very tight sounding. Just to my liking.
The installer (Audiolines in Burnaby, BC) made the tweeter grills for me from scratch. They did a fantastic job to.
I don't know how many sheets of the VB2 they used, I never did ask. But strangely enough I can't find a single seem, but I don't see how a single sheet could fit the entire door.

The K2P's crossovers
After a few hours of listening I found the front tweeters a tad too bright. So I needed to dismantle the panels underneath the dash and remove the left air vent to get to the Focal crossover. The installers again did a great job and made a bracket to keep the crossovers in place (In other words it's not just a five minute job to adjust the settings 
). After adjustments I ended up with the passenger side at only -1db and the driver side at -4db. I did notice that the mid-range was set to flat (instead of high) which could be the reason I needed a big boost in the 2000-2500Hz range. I'm keeping them at flat for now as I don't have immediate access to the RTA to do a re-adjustment, but it might be something I'll try in the future. The Focal paper work did mention to set the mid-range to high if the speakers are mounted low in the doors which these are. I can only assume the installer had a good reason not to set the levels to high for a good reason.
Notice as well that all of the wires are all heat-shink wrapped as well, nice and tidy! They also ran two pairs from the amps to the crossovers, this means that I could bi-wire the speakers if I so choose. But for now it just means a lower resistance for these long runs.
