What they are probably referring to is a LOC (line adaptor) that works with some Bose systems. It will NOT work with the Bose system in a G35. Most factory Bose systems (like in Fords, Mazda, etc.) use a very low level output that feeds the power amp. That what the Bose adaptor is for. But in the G35's case, the head unit feeds high level outputs into the amp in the trunk. That's because the only part of the Bose system that is truly Bose is the amp. The head unit is the same, whether it is the Baose system or the standard system. The standard system HU send signal directly to the speakers. In the Bose system, the HU sends the same "speaker-level" signal to the Bose amp. You will need to use a regular line level converter (LOC) for the Bose version of the system.

The G35 uses two different radios, one with an amplifier built in and one without for the Bose system (non speaker level).
