2003 6MT... can I swap an OEM 6 disk changer for an OEM changer with Sat? My
My OEM Bose changer had disk read faults on the CD changer but I could insert and remove disks. I thought before I did anything I would try a cleaning disk. That is now stuck in the unit.
I would like to add satellite capability. Does the Sirius option mean a different CD changer or does it just add a module and antenna?
Is that module mounted in the dash or in the trunk, where it seems the antenna cable is?
Is all of the required wiring there in my 2003?
I know, I should get a newer unit but I really despise the looks of them. If I do go that route will the control buttons in the steering wheel and dash still work?
Thanks for any thoughts or answers to questions I did not think to ask

The satellite modules (Sirius or XM were available back then) are located in the trunk. The early ‘03s weren’t pre-wired so check for the connector - they’re in different locations in sedans vs. coupes.

If you go through with this I recommend going with a newer sat module. I added Nissan part number 28051-EH00B earlier this year (SiriusXM reports it came out of a 2012 G25). It uses the same power/signal connector as the original modules (999U9-NV003 or NV004) . They aren't any more expensive on eBay than the older ones. You can also add the newer antennas that are much smaller than the old-style OEM ones; you'll just need to make sure you have the correct FAKRA adapter.

Coupe, Premium package, sport suspension
The newer tuners also have memory for buffering. The older ones don't. They cut out when you go under bridges, through tunnels, next to tall trees, etc.
