I've searched all around this forum and searched on Google. Can' t find a clear answer as to if this(2004 INFINITI G35 Jdm Double Din Finisher. Motorsport, Interior - 68260-7W000 | INFINITI, ORLAND PARK IL (infinitioforlandparkparts.com) JDM finisher kit will work and fit properly on the 04 G35 sedan. Reason I ask is the bezel does not extend around the vents like this one does (2004 INFINITI G35 Jdm Grey Finisher. Motorsport, Interior - 68260-AM913 | INFINITI, ORLAND PARK IL (infinitioforlandparkparts.com). I had bought the Metra kit (99-7604) but the "gray" color does not match the silver color of my existing trim and center console. So I'm looking to go the route of the JDM finisher in the first link since it is Titanium Silver but want to ensure it will connect or snap up to my OEM vent trim which is black around the vents btw.

I know I will need to buy the JDM A/C Dual control assembly also with the finisher kit. Any help from anyone who has done this on this particular year sedan is greatly appreciated. Otherwise my next step before I order will be to go through the steps to get to the stereo and hvac control trim to verify how it connects up or clips to the vents to ensure it will all work. Just trying to save myself some time from having to do that.

I think the bigger one is the 2003-2004 and the smaller square one is the 2005+. Probably have more luck in the audio/video subforum. I'll move the thread over there.

No, that first dash kit will not work for your 2004. It needs to be like the metra kit you ordered.

Like this:

Good luck finding them though as they're discontinued.

Another option is the Scosche kit. The buttons are much nicer looking than the Metra kit and I have seen them match well to the stock dash, but I'll warn you, I have read LOTS of reviews from people who complained about the colors being different, even after returning the kit multiple times and ordering different colors, so it's probably hit or miss.

Thank you both for the guidance. I'll take a look at the Scosche kit. This is a bummer as I want to update the radio, should have done it back right after I bought the car new in 04. However I wasn't the daily driver of it back then till now. May just leave things as they are as I'm not into to compromising the look or jeopardizing the controls just to have a newer radio.
