2005 JDM AC Controller **** Removal

I know somewhere there is a write-up on how to remove the **** from the AC controller so I can solder in the dual climate button. Can someone point me in that direction, or at least tell me how to get it off.

hmmmmm....I think this is a new question that has never been addressed yet. Let me check the 2005 Service Manual when I get home tonight and I'll post what I find.

No one has done a 2005 DD conversion yet and posted pics......ahem *cough, cough, GRider, Solidforce....cough, cough.*

Let me see what I can find...

Never mind... I figured it out. You have to pull on the silver ring that adjusts the temperature. It will pop out about 2 mm or so. Then you rotate the **** until you see an indentation in it on the side that is closest to the panel. Insert a small screwdriver in the hole and use it as a wedge to pop the silver sleeve off the face. The center temp ring will pop out as well. I'll try to take some pictures later on when I get a chance.
