bass and rear view mirror problem

I have about 2000watts rms going to my subs, although its all not there since the box isnt big enough and i dont crank it, so its more like only a 1000 total. But the problem is when i listen to it, only at half volume my rearview mirror just shakes down, i cant keep it straight. its starting to get really annoying. is there any way to make it tighter? because its no where close to as loud as it should be. may be my installer messed up with the mirror?

does any one else have the same problem, the bass just moving your rear view mirror making it useless?

thanks in advance for any help
and the reason i have so much power is because i used to go for SPL competitions so please no bashing. they are no where close to full power, not even half when turned up.

I have the same problem. How are you guys taking the mirror apart? Does it just snap apart?

a shaking mirror is how some people measure the amount of "beat" they have in their car. no joke, i had a customer complain that his mirrors werent shaking as hard as it was in his other car hence it wasnt " hitting hard enough". I barely contained my laughter. lol

Take it off and get back up sensors. If you've got lots of bass, ten your mirror will just rattle and point in funny directions. There's not a lot you can do about it. As far as the rattle is concerned, you can eliminate that, but the pointing at you shifter... you're kinda out of luck. I took my mirror off, and am a much happier man for it. It doesn't sit in my line of sight, doesn't rattle, and doesn't take off in bizzare directions. =)

but it never happened in my last car, where i was actually hitting 146 - 147 dB's. damn accords. may be i can take it off and glue the thing so its permanent? it doesnt rattle, surprisingly i have almost no rattles in the car, its just the mirror not staying in place.
