Help, I'm electronically stupid!

Ok, I got CDT CL-62 http://www.cdtaudio.com/classic2000MidDriv.htm thinking that the Bose amp was 4 ohm however I learned that it was 2 ohm. So my question is what can I do to make the CL-62 work in my car? Do I have to get a new amp for all 8 speakers for the car? Help.

I dont think stock amp would have problem handling the 4 ohm load, it would've been a problem if it was other way around, but I would definitly switch out the stock amp (so would just about anyone else), its up to you if you want to keep all other stock speakers(most ppl won't), I would suggest that you look for some coaxial speakers for the rear deck(around 100, like the cl-6x), depend on your budget? either 2 channels(no fader control) or 4 chs to power the new speakers.

You'll be fine with 4 ohm mids. The stock tweeters are already 4 ohm. The only thing you'll notice is that you'll need to increase the volume by about 1 to acheive the same loudness level with the 4 ohm mids.

I and many others have done the same and all is well.
