speaker install problem

I have just installed a pair of MB Quart components for the front door of my coupe. I have done mounting the speakers and wiring the speakers seems to play fine. but i have one doubt that since im still using stock bose amp, do i connect the cross over to the green and red wire that was connected to the stock bose lower speaker on the door. And the main question is that i have connect the green wire as Positive and red wire as negative? thats what i did and it seems to work but i just want to make sure that i did not mix up the wires.

Yes, I think you've got it right. I just did it in a similar way - but I used the tweeter connection and not the woofer (they are one in the same). I left the lower plug disconnected.

Nice of them to use green and red, eh? If you look at the stock tweeter plug (which I reused, it is black and white - with black being ground and connecting to the red on the door wiring). When I was doing it, I checked in the service manual and its ok (and sounds good).

so u connected to the tweeter connection and not the woofer? is there a difference? i connected to the woofer connection....but i am experiencing some noise like hiss sound when the stereo is off...

another question is that where did u mount the cross over? i have glued to the plastic door panel right under the arm rest.

There should be no new hiss sound - this problem has only been reported with aftermarket amp connections.

It doesn't matter whether you use the tweeter or woofer connection.

The crossover can go anywhere it'll fit... I attached it to the metal part towards the front in between the tweeter and woofer location (upper front aspect) - plenty of room there.

There is no crossover, other than the small capacitor attached to the tweeter which filters out low frequencies (well below like 8 kHz). The woofer receives the full spectrum. No worries... If the hiss doesn't bother you, then I wouldn't worry about it. I don't understand why you've got it though.
