What ICruz will cost you...

From what I've read, installing iCruz will either disable your factory indash CD changer or your satellite radio. The iCruz needs one of these inputs to work. Have you heard of anyone installing these on a G35?

Um...actually, it disables both the CD changer and Sat radio for some reason. The reason it disables the CD changer is because the unit fools the head unit into thinking your iPod is the changer, so that's how you control the iPod. It disables the SAT radio cause it uses the same port as the changer or something like that.

I dunno, if you have all your music on an iPod, I guess you wouldn't need your CD changer anymore...

Its all speculation; we'll know when someone installs it. My guess is it will only kill the SAT port.

This is a universal kit and most cars don't have a spare SAT button, but it is more common to have a CD changer control... So thats why they talk about it so much.

I use this with a PAC ipod interface through the SAT port and it works great. Check it out.

I was told today that Grubbs is meeting with the iCruze reps and a fix to any potential link issue has been fixed or will be. Grubbs should have more info on this system very soon. I will let you know when I hear more.

The last I heard was that a special cable was needed to make it work and it was being developed. I have not heard anything further. We were hoping to have one installed and working by the time our meeting comes around on June 25th. I'm not sure if the deadline will be met.
