There is lot of misundestanding about what "double din" is...yes, the G have double din size opening, but you can not just replace the factory radio, cus the "face" is connect to the radio and CD player behind it via an cable, and "face" controll both AC and radio. the "kit" basicly is just an stand alone AC controller and dash peice, which allow you to remove the stock radio and cd changer...so "no" the 05's does not already come with D/D kit

But it does come with the DD bracket, so you won't be needing to purchase one

This is the sticky on top:

And this is a related thread:

Read through them all thoroughly and you'll know what you need. Sorry I can't list everything, I have neevr done this, but I'm trying to help you. You can also try PMing 'GRider35c' with the year of your car, and ask what do I need for a DD conversion.

That bracket is just for holding the cd changer and radio in place.

our G's BOSE, or standard system, is actually a double din head unit! but the finisher piece covering it is "custom made" for our stereo, the cover is what we need to buy, and since the air conditioning controls are on the same motherboard as the head unit, we also need to buy a new A/C controller...

2 items need to be purchased
1. A/C controller
2. finisher piece
