Seas CA18RNX Fit in factory door location? Help!

I have a 2005 sedan. Speaker Mounting depth is 3.28". I have seen the pics of the strange baffle basket pod thing that apparently limits the depth to roughly 2.6".

so if I take this out, and install a .75 baffle ring can I swing it? Will the door panel go back on?
