I think its understood that there are some compatability issues with the PAC audio adapter and the 2005 HU. I emailed PAC to get an update on a fix and this is their response:


"The AAI-NIS will definitely work on the ’05 G35. From everything I know we have not had any issues with the AAI-NIS with the ’05 G35. However, we do have the VCI-X that we have had issue with on the ’05 G35 but that is a completely different product. You won’t have any problems when using it for your car!"


Can anyone confirm that the PAC AAI-NIS will indeed work on the 2005 HU?

Wait, so some of you 05er's have the PAC VCI-X (VIDEO SWITCHER) working? That's funny, cause I'm the car they are testing it on...and so far no fix. They want my car in the whole day for testing this week but I haven't been able to get time off from work.

Please be specific when you say "yea it works" about WHAT product you are talking about....AAI-NIS (works), VCI-X (still doesn't). Don't want people to spend that much cash then realize it was a waste...

 

For those who can wait, someone with an 05 already got it to work with the AV ELECTRONICS unit...i think he was selling his car on ebay and is on this forum as s2kmugen or something?

If you can't wait, someone on this forum is selling them at competitive prices ($480 shipped) I believe as opposed to $550+ shipping. PM me for his user name, he is a registered distributor on this site. I think the first few letters of his user name are ISK???? He frequents this forum, and has sold a few of these units with no problem.

I already am the lab rat buddy...just no time to go in and eat some more cheese due to work...so it may be a while. So far my system is all hooked up and I can do with the rolling black bar for now while watching movies on my way to work . But I will let you all know as soo as there is a fix. And like I said, the AV unit WILL work. I have seen PAC VCI-X units go for about $330.00, just google it and search. The AV can be obtained through a distributor "ISKARDG" (or something) for about $150 more...up to you.
