Garmin Nav System installs

I just bought a Street Pilot C330 and was wondering if anyone else has one and how they mounted it. The slope of the windshield on my coupe makes it a chore to access the controls on the SPC330, not to mention I already have my Passport 8500 already up there. So if you have one of the portable nav systems, could you post pics to give me ideas on a better way to locate it.
thanks!

Right now, I just have it mounted to the windshield with the suction cup mount that it came with at the base of the windshield, which I then have my Passport 8500 mounted above that. So, I don't really have it "installed" at this time. I would like to relocate it because the cluster of gadgets on my windshield doesn't look very clean.

Hey, I just bought a Garmin 330 the other day and have it mounted on the windshield also. It is mounted to the right of the analog clock so it is a bit hard to reach while driving. But it is the best angle to view while driving. I figure just set the address before leaving or while at a stop light and dont ever worry about messing with it again. I too am looking for an alternative location and was thinking of remove the navigation comparment lid and placing it in there. Also you can try using the dashboard mount that comes with it, however, it will be permanently attached once placed. Let me know what you decide so I have an idea what to do.

What I would like to do is fabricate a bracket that can be mounted between the dash trim piece the the dashboard on the passenger side next to the radio so that way I can affix the plastic mounting disc to bracket then tap into the accessory power and run the wires between the trim piece as well. I've only had it a few days and it seems pretty neat, but the navigation isn't as accurate as the one in my RX330, and I wish it had a little more POIs, but the ability to plug it into your PC and update it is a plus, which if you haven't done that, an update just came out last week for it.

Thanks for the info. While driving do you keep the system hooked up to the cigarette lighter or do you just charge the device when it gets low on battery. I will make sure to update the system later today.

Whether I plug it in or not is dictated by my cell phone cause I have my passport 8500 plugged in the accessory outlet and then I rotate between my cell and 330 in the cigarette lighter. I showed my G35 to my parents over the weekend (just bought it 3 weeks ago with 5k mi on it) and made the mistake of leaving the trip info screen up and my mother looked at the max speed which indicated 147mph, needless to say she wasn't very approving.

Garmin

Here is how I mounted mine.....I am using velcro to hold it there. I took the mount off the stand so I have the power connector.
