I do not any disrespect, but that is the worst thing you could do. If you plan to upgrade your stereo, do it right the first time. Uprgade your speakers get a decent 4 channel amp, then purchase your subs w/ another amp. If have done stereo systems in every vehicle I have owned. It costs a fortune but the results could be amazing if done the correct way. Good luck!

 

There both rite... there the worst subs on the market next to sony. And if ur going to do it do it rite, get urself that 4 channel, and another for the subs and hook it up the rite way or dont do it at all

 

Not good is as nicely as I can put it. I would save up some cash and do it right the first time, like mattycNJ said. Buy something like JL Audio or kicker or fosgate. I have always found that when you don't buy quality stuff, you will always second guess yourself and think I should have gotten something better. By the way, 450 watts peak is a useless number. Look at the RMS and you will see that it sucks.

By the lQQks of the describetion, the amp will only do 150 watts at 4 ohms(at best, under perfect conditions maybe). the set up isnt too bad for the price, as long as you know what you are getting. 150 watts arent going to be enough for the bass, but if they are sound good to you, thats what counts.

 

To a point one gets what they pay for in the world of stereo. The problem is understanding the law of dimishing returns. I highly recommend finding a store that has a good rep. The big boys are not the place to go. I am getting ready to install a Diamond set-up, amp and speakers. I will leave the standard sub and evaluate from there. Just my 2 cents.

you want to put a $250 dollar system in a $38000 car?

Lightning audio is by far, the cheapest quality car audio I am aware of.
I would not use that equipment if I got paid to use it.

 

It is definitely a far cry from a top of the line system, actually as others have said, it is pretty near to the bottom. Then again, if you are just looking for something that will go boom at the right times then it might be fine for you. I would definitely look around a bit more before I bought that one, I think you could probably do better for not much more money, but if your looking for quick and simple, then this will do the trick, plus BestBuy will install it if you are not comfortable DIY. Just to be safe talk to the people there about their return policy in case you really think it sound like shxx when u install it.
