XM and Sony Head Unit Presets

XM and Sony Head Unit Presets
I recently installed an XM unit with a Sony CDX-8800 (XM compatible) head unit. Every time the HU powers down (like when I shut the vehicle off), the sound level presets reset to zero!

Has anyone encountered this? And how might I prevent it?

BTW, the XM STATION presets remain intact!

Sounds like you didnt connect the constant/memory 12V+ power lead...

No, head unit has been installed for 8 months and working fine. All other presets (station memory, loudness, and EQ and sound levels when CDs are playing) work fine.
