Big weekend project ahead of me

I have a full weekend ahead of me once I get my car out of the body shop (20 days so far ). DD conversion, Kenwood ddx7015 HU, PAC SWIX, Kenwood KDS-P901 DSP unit, Kenwood Sirius receiver, Kenwood 10gig Music Keg, new amp rack to hide the all of the processors and a slotted area to protect the music keg, and I'm still trying to find room for the kitchen sink. Maybe I should take Monday off as well Thanks to ebay, no b-stock merch and I've saved a boat load too...

DDX7015 $900.
KDS-P901 $157.
Music Keg $177.
Sirius Tuner $30.

Be sure to take pics of everything! I want to redo my audio setup really badly, but it's so damn hot. Don't want sweat drips all over my interior.

Right now its about 95 in Irvine. I'm going to be in my garage with about 8 fans blowing around my car, and contemplating going to Fry's and buying a cheap mobile air-conditioning unit.

a WEEKEND... LOL. Try a week. That is if you take your time, and take everything apart to get to the wires, then dynamat (optional of course).

Now if you're reusing the junk stock speaks, then you may get done in a couple of days. I just did 22 hours on rear 4 speakers plus sub and dynamat to rear interior and trunk lid. (all in 97 degree weather).

Good luck to ya and do post pix!

Agree: 1 day DD (unless u done this b4), 1 day dynamat (depends how much you do and if you go for all exterior metal), 1 day speakers x 4 plus running wires (if you gonna run new speaker wire in addition to amp wiring then it will take a day), 1 day custom AMP setup in trunk.

Check out my sig, I've already replace the speakers, wires, and dynamated (actually B-Quiet) the car and spent most of my time in those two days trying to tune my amps and LOC to the crappy stock HU. Thats why I'm chucking the stock HU and going with the DD. I haven't taken apart the dash yet, but the rest of our cars come apart fairly easy and with little effort. I'm planning on half a day (6-8hrs) on the DD conversion another half a day running wires and I forgot to mention that I am hardwiring my 8500 and my Garmin Navi while I have it apart. And a full day of woodworking. I may be optimistic on my time frame, but I have been known to work on my car from 10am to 4am. (The night time is the right time during the summer).

Well, I got phase one of the project complete. I installed the DDX7015 and the DD conversion along with my Kenwood music Keg and the Sirius tuner. I am still waiting for the Dolby Digital/DSP unit to come in the mail to install that, so I have to take the dash apart again in a few days. I'll put pics up as soon as its done. I am now having problems trying to figure out how I'm gonig to lay the trunk out and have it look pretty. I have two Infinity perfect 12s and two huge audiobahn 4125 amps, and I've run into one small snafu. I have no way of getting the raw material home to build the trunk. I cant put sheets of MDF in the G and I'm afraid to ruin the interior of the RX330, maybe I'll rent a truck. This is starting to be a headache. Atleast the DD conversion is done, and time is on my side since my work decided to give me a pink slip last friday

BTW The music keg is f...n great. I'm ordering the 80gig DMS for it and I'll never have to carry CDs ever again. It's faster than any CD changer and if you rip or d/l high quality mp3s (256k or higher) you can't really tell any loss in SQ either!!
