Replacing 6 disc CD Changer with Sattelite radio

Hello,

Is it possible to replace my factory installed 6 disc CD changer (in the trunk) to sattelite radio. My HU is not pre-wired for satellite radio, so I'm trying to explore simple opportunities to install one. I've been looking for pictures of what my HU looks like inside, but without any luck. Could someone help me with my delemma.

Thank you in advance.

I am assuming you have an early model 2003 is that correct? Due you have a sat button on the radio? If not, no dice. If so, you need a cable that you can get from grubbs. Then just use the factory xm sat radio and its all easy. BTW, double check in the trunk, upper left hand side under the liner. If you see a connector taped up you are already good to go. Its the only way to know for sure. Some cars had the connector, others did not.

I have a new XM here if your interested. You will save some $$$$$.

Assuming you have the SAT button (most cars do) you have to run that wire otherwise you are out of luck. Check for the wire. Its a snap in harness, so plugging it in the HU is not that big of a deal, its fishing the wire and taking apart everything that I would be afraid of. There's a few DIY on the net with pics.
