Infinity Perfect 6.1 Help With Crossover Setups

Hey all I'll be getting my new perfect 6.1's in soon and I need some advice.
How do you recomend setting up crossovers for this unit? My amp is rated at 4X100 and has a variable 18dB hi/low crossover at 50Hz to 250Hz. My headunit has variable hi pass crossover at 18dB selectable at 40Hz, 60Hz, 80Hz, 100Hz, 120Hz, 150Hz, 180 Hz, 220Hz, or Through (no filter). It also has a low pass filter selectable for 50Hz, 60Hz, 80Hz, 100Hz, 120Hz or Through (no filter) I know that the Perfects have a hi/low pass filter at 3500 Hz on a 24dB slope. Should I just select no filter for both the amp and the headunit or filter one or both of the signals coming out from them? Thanks for your help

Depends on the qualit of your amp... you didn't say the brand. But if it's a good grade (JL, ADS, SPARCO..) then set the high pass a little below what you want for the speaks then fine tune on the speaker crossover. IE: if you want 200-20k from your speaks, set the amp xover to 180.

If memory serves, this is more important for the sub and in getting low pass right.

I have an Audiobahn a1004DP digital amp for the mids/highs, and a Kenwood 8101D for my Sub (JL 10w6v2). I contacted the tech guys at Infinity and they suggested that I select full range (no filter) for both the amp and the Headunit (Kenwood Excelon X789). Does this make sense to you guys?
Thanks Again

Uh I would not do what the Infinity guy suggested, unless you want your midrange to bottom out. They are supposed to run full range, but trust me when I say you will bottom out your midrange driver and eventually kill them at higher volumes. I would suggest setting up the headunit for full range and tune with the amp, since with the amp the settings are defined at 20hz intervals. Quick question, what crossover point do you have your subwoofer set at?

Yeah I thought that sounded a little strange cuz the "woofer" of the component set aint really a woofer. I was just a lil' confused about which crossover to use the HU's or the Amp's? The HU has 20Hz intervals not the AMP. The AMP just has the turn screw-find-for-yourself-thing. so I guess I'll select the crossover point from the HU. I the sub's crossover is set at 80Hz from the HU and around 80Hz on the amp (another screw thingy not exactly sure)

I meant the head unit was set up @20hz intervals, you knew what I meant. I would set the xover on your amp for the highs to around 90 or so.
