I found out my '03 is prewired for satellite radio and was planning on purchasing the XM receiver from Grubbs. I was wondering if the XM Antenna I had on my previous car would work with that receiver. I believe it's a Terk and was plugged into an Alpine XM receiver. Thanks.

 

hmmm..... These antennas use an older style plug. Two antenna inputs are required. There's enough pictures online; check for similarities.

 

How did you find out ur 03 was pre-wired. A vendor of mine just sent me a complete XM kit with car adapter. I haven't figured out a clean way to mount anything yet so I am curious as to how you find out if it is pre-wired.

There's usually a sticker that tells you in the driver's side door jam, but you can check for the plug under the plastic cover to the left of the spare tire. You should see the bose amp; the plug would be to the left of it.

 

The antenna I have has two plugs, one green and one yellow I believe. I was able to check to see if mine was prewired by removing the spare tire and the plastic cover to the left. Underneath it is the Bose amp and there is a white, square connector about 1.5 in wide that is for the satellite receiver.
