In dash DVD player

does anybody have one of these in their G's? I had one in my is300 and it was awsome....seems like everyone on here only talks about usinng their NAV and modding it to play dvd's. why doesnt anyone get an indash dvd player....speaking for those who do NOT have Navi.

Probably because that those who do NOT have navi, also don't have the $2k it will cost to get the hardware (let alone install it).

$400 for DD kit
$1300-1600 for the head unit

Then if you want real speakers, amps and installation tack on more.

That's probably why.

I, on the other hand, am royally PO'd that I didn't find out about the DD kit before I plunked down cash for that POS factory nav. All i have left now is to look forward to an aux video input.

I'd gladly gut it like a fish, put in the cubby and trade with someone for a proper double din kit and an AVIC D1 or the like. Any takers?

If you dont have navi? then you would have to get a monitor, then where you gonna install it at? it isnt easy to install it at that cubby hole, if you put it at stock radio location? where you gonna put that "in-dash" dvd player at? so why not just get one of the in-dash screen with built-in dvd player? if you have navi, it would be cheaper to mod it to play dvd and you dont have to get the D/D kit and keep dash look stock....that would be my guess
