Anyone with NAV

I decided to not get the stock navigation system because I wanted to lower my monthly payments a little. But Now I want to get a navigation in the same spot where the stock one is.

I heard theres place that will fit aftermarket navs right into that spot. Anyone have pics of this? Which navigation unit did they use? and how much did this cost?

If anyone has done this your help and advice would be appreciated thanks.

I've read many posts on this and I wouldn't personally ever attempt this; its simply not worth it. You have to do too many major modifications, and you could lose things like ac ducts or you won't be able to use the cd or tape players... Your best bet for an aftermarket navi conversion is to install the double din kit and put in a 2-din navi system. It ends up having the same type of look as a fully integrated nav, and its a straight forward install. There's alot of pics of these installs in this forum if you look.

I actually did it myself...I gave props to a installer in my area because they let me use their shop and tools...It took me an entire day because it was something I never done before or seen done...infact I kinda started a trend with that install. I think I could do that install in a few hours now. I cannot use my stock stereo but who cares..the bose sucked anyway! I did not have to cut any ducts behind my stereo
