AVIC-D1 Install question

I've had my Black 2005 6mt coupe for about three weeks. I am currently collecting parts to install a Pioneer AVIC-D1 nav system. Thanks to the great information on this forum I have nearly everything I need and the AVIC-D1 is in transit. I can install or fix almost anything on a car, but wiring is not my strong suit so I will be using a professional installer.

The XM radio antenna will be going on a corner of the dash, but I'd like to avoid have two antennas up there by placing the nav antenna internally. Is it possible to purchase the OEM nav antenna and install it under the dash, or does that have to be installed at the factory? If I have to use the antenna included with the AVIC-D1, can it be installed under the dash in the same location as the OEM unit?

Thanks for any assistance.
