Where did you buy your PAC module?

Hey all, where did you buy your PAC module from? The reason I'm asking is apparently it seems I have a defective one and I'd rather not buy from the same place again (in case they got a whole bad batch). Just wondering where everyone bought there's so I can buy it from the same place.

Shade,

I also bought mine from eBay. If the place you bought yours is willing to exchange the unit and has something resembling customer service, you are probably better off sticking it out. All the units are made by PAC, so purchasing elsewhere may improve your odds, but gurantees nothing while adding risk of total loss.

I saw your posts on the install. Quick question, did you disconnect the battery? Shouldn't matter much, but stranger things have happened. The PAC is pretty dead-simple, but still an electronic device, so it will have some static discharge damage threshold. Basically, don't go poking pins with your fingers, rub it with wool, etc... Not that you did, it's just that their circuit design may not be very robust, ESD protection-wise. That said, I gave mine no special attention and it worked fine. If I had to repeat the install, I would have been more careful.

I'd imagine that the actual unit is used for other applications, meaning the unit is made and the appropriate connector is installed later according to demand. It may be worth verifying that when connected, the red and black wire of the PAC harness correspond to the + and - of the OEM connector. Anyway, good luck!
