i called my dealer the other day because my seek button kept getting stuck whenever i would push it in....i called and the parts manager told me that they might have to replace the whole unit...haha...to fix one button he wants to replace the WHOLE headunit...and so i told him that its fine and if thats the case that id wait for the 06's headunits to come in so i can get rid of that damn bose problem were having...he told me that you cant do that and that you have to install the same part....is this dealer BSing me or is he right...

 

My seek button gets stuck too...all their going to do is replace the deck's faceplate as that is what's causing the problem...good luck on a new radio.

well im hoping infiniti has at least fixed this little glitch for the 06's....

 

Well yes, he is right. They can't "upgrade" things to the newer year under warranty, Also the last thing a dealer would want is to deal with something not fitting right because its the newer year. The only exception is sometimes you can get an upgrade by the luck of the draw if they standardized the head-units with 05 and 06. I'm not sure about what else, but I know the 06's would have the blue tooth input on the back.
