05 bose repeat CD

i have the bose premium system in my 05 coupe. i have a couple of mp3 CDs in the changer. i usually use "random tracks on CD" mode. is there anything i can do to make the NEXT TRACK button do a random next track, instead of going really to the next track? this is a stupid bug...even the first CD players introduced next track random'd correctly...

hmmm i have never come across that allows u to go to a random track when pressing next.. that feature is used so u dont get pissed off when u have it on random mode and u just want to go to your favorite track? think about it, how long would it take you to get to your favorite track if it was on random mode, on an mp3 cd? hours? weeks?

How well does the mp3 feature work on the bose cd player? Does it display track info well?

i have burned over 10 CDs of mp3s, and the bose has played everything perfectly. all of my mp3s are encoded 128 or higher. the bose will recognize folders on the CD, and even sub-folders. it will display folder names, track names (based upon ID3), but the display is only like 10-12 characters i think, but it can scroll. i usually don't have the display data thing on though...

and *every* CD player i have ever owned, from rack components, to bookshelf systems, to car stereos, the NEXT TRACK button pressed during RANDOM MODE always selects a random next track. if you wanted to play a track number specifically, why would you be in random mode? with easily over 100 mp3 tracks on a CD, it takes forever to get to any track anyways using NEXT TRACK.

Having the "next track" button just go to the next track and not randomly playing is soooo darn annoying. Heres a situation. You have a song that ends with a long instumental portion that you dont want to listen to. You hit the next track and begin to listen to a song you just heard a few tracks back. If you want random, then it shouldplay random. Its really annoying. Is this just an '05 thing since they added mp3? Do the 03-04 have this random issue too?

All you have to do is hold down the DISP button for a few seconds. I haven't been able to get to display the names by default.
