The HU and AC controls are integrated and is basically 1 circuit board. There are 5 plugs that goes into the HU/AC behind the center console on the '05s w/Bose.

I don't know if this helps, but I unplugged the Bose Amp and the plugs are just sitting there (covered in electrical tape) and everything works fine. So I know they don't need to be plugged into the amp for the AC to work.

It really does sound like a blown fuse...

Hooked the plugs back into the amp, no dice. Pulled all of the fuses out and checked them, they all look good. I guess I'll try and dig up or go buy a a little voltometer and test them to see if one is bad. Are there any other fuses elsewhere in the car that this may be related to?

Oh, and I took all of the 10A fuses out, checked them, and when they all looked good I mixed them all up and reinstalled them, figuring if there was a bad one I have a pretty slim chance of putting the same one back in the slot that affects the AC controls and radio.

I think you need to take a look at the service manual and start troubleshooting...

According to the 2004 coupe service manual Y/R (yellow/red?) is battery ground, B (blue?) is Rear Spk Ground, and B/R (black/red?) is also ground. So none of those wires seem important really.

I am trying to attach a file with a wiring diagram but the d@mn website keeps saying "page not found" when I upload (82kb gif image). What gives? (This is pg 4 from PG.pdf in the service manual - it is an overall wiring diagram with all the fuse #s - I think).

I'll try again tomorrow. Well I tried again (it's tomorrow) and uploading still doesn't work - sorry. PM me with your e-mail address if you want me to send it to you.

amthar get a test light its quicker and u can SEE if the fuse is blown. thats what i use at work.highly dought anyways that u blew a fuse. sounds to me like u blew up the unified meter. if its anything like the Z its a white box near the HU and a/c controls (usually has 2 white connectors going into it). this meter controls the A/C audio and a bunch of the features in the car. but since your dealling with the dash area im guessing the when u cut all the wires at once u toasted a resistor something in the unified meter.

there is a hidden fuse box behind the battery. it has the radio fuse. you have to first take off the whole battery cover then take off the cover that covers the edge of the windshield. there should be only 2 plastic pegs holding it down.

Any idea if this fuse also handles the AC controls?

Too much more of this crap and I might just take it to the dealer and ask them to fix it. Just concerned that they are going ot jump my crap about the wires in the trunk being cut and trying to tell me part or all of my warranty is void.

Dude, don't do that.

If you have PDF wiring diagrams of your car email them to me at el_duderino at comcast.net and I'll see what I can do to help.

Sorry to ressurect an old thread, but I want to thank all of you for your ideas and leads. I ended up, after hours of reading through that AWESOME reading material known as the Service Manual that the AC Control circuit board receives power through the same fuses as the radio. Beyond that, there is a stupid 15A fuse (#37) next to the battery which is one of these shared fuses. Pulled it, it was blown, replaced it with a spare, everything works. Not only that, but I now know the wiring harnesses I made to return the car back to stock works perfectly.

Thanks again everyone for your help, this has made my week.
