New Navi Screen on the '06?!

New Navi Screen on the '06?!

i was looking through the infiniti.com website and i came across a picture of the new navi display and it's differernt?! is this true??? take a look for yourself....look specifically at the picture that has "vehicle information systerm"

Yeah, it's different. Both in physical design, and software... at least from the '04s.

yea it is different! maybe it is a new software? can the 05's get this upgrade?

The screen is exactly like in the 05's. The software is different though.

According to the website, it's called the Multi-Information Display and it shows the outside temperature, compass heading and climate-control settings.

The physical screen is the same, the menu and graphics have been changed. If you want the details just download the 06 Navi manual from the Ownership section of the website. Also the 06 navi discs wont work on an 05, so I dont think you can upgrade it just by popping in a new DVD. On another note, the Voice recognition on the coupe seems to work only with the BT and not the Navi like the M Also I still cant tell if the BT display is the Navi, radio, or none.

that's the display right above the nav with the clock in it.

It might not be easy or cheap but it's possible. I just bought a JDM Navi System from a 2006 Toyota in Japan that I'll be putting in my SC...voice navigation in Japanese should be fun

i think the bluetooth display is in the radio unit. in the pictures released, that red coupe, had bluetooth, but no navi..so im assuming its in the radio unit.
