Question Question before installing iPod???

I'm about to hardwire my iPod using the PAC AAI-NIS interface but want to know if people ever used this:

http://www.installer-data.com/item/d...m.php?it=pxp01

I want provide power to my iPod when in use but not really feelin the Belkin Car Adapter. With this, I can tap into an existing power supply (cigarette lighter maybe?) and have almost everything hidden. Thanks in advance for any input!

Yeah, I'd like to charge the iPod while in use since my commutes are long. I guess I can go the Belkin route.

Here's the kink: If you use a charger that's separate from the audio out, they have different ground potentials (the headphone jack has a ground and the DC in has a ground too, but they are attached to different points in the car.

If you use the piece that you found (which I could get you for $40, but which I don't like much) then you could solve this issue with a ground loop isolator between the cable's RCA and the NISS adapter RCA input.

Or you could get a Dension Icelink AUX with charging, also grabbs the line out, and a preamp in it that eliminates this whole ground loop thing.

But that costs more than $60. It costs like $100 or more, I can't remember...

Hmmm...tell me more about this Dension Icelink? Out of curiosity, what don't you like about the wires I found?
My whole idea behind it is to minimize the wires running throughout the car. I just want one simple connection to the iPod that can both play the music and charge at the same time.
