Questions for iPod users regarding charging?

The audio wires are clearly marked on the board where they connect. There are probably better ways to do this, meaning, if another charger just has a non-adjustable line-out, make it easy on yourself. I had already bought mine. I know Monster has one, but I'm not sure if it has the "Pause" feature, anyone?
As for the noise, I mounted my iPod in the driver's side door cup holder, so I had to get the DC and the audio wires through the door jamb, coming in close proximity to all sorts of wiring. I'm pretty sure I could get the problem sorted, but it's still below my threshold for the trouble. I just wanted to make sure and fully disclose anything potentially related to you concerns. For completeness, I'll check when I get home by disconnecting the DC and continue to play and report back.

! That's some pretty clever work. But thanks for sharing this info and for everyone who've replied to this post. Well, right now, I might go with the Dension Icelink Aux depending on the availability, which el_duderino is keeping me posted, or the Blitzsafe UII interface http://www.logjamelectronics.com/blitzuii.html to go along with the Pac AAI-NIS.Both are recommended by el_duderino, so we shall see.
I will keep everyone posted once I get my iPod (and Valentine V1) installed hopefully by this weekend.

What's new and interesting is that if I run the mirrow direction **** in a circle, as in cycling all 4 directions at a pace, the PAC seems to lose lock or something and switch to an attenuated static version of the iPod output. The HU still shows CH 1. It can only be corrected by pressing SAT to CH2 then back to CH1, switching modes and back, or turning ign. off then on. I can cause this by adjusting the left or right mirrors. Now, I figured the left was caused by a crappy mic. extension picking up noise on the mirror lines through the door jamb, but the right shouldn't be, so my theory is up for review. I've encountered this static mode before with swapped RCA (CH1 vs. CH2), and once when it was really hot in my car. The latter instance could not be reset and I was without AUX input until the evening. I thing these are PAC problems, but I'm still happy with it.
Sorry for hijacking, I just wanted to follow up. Good luck
!
