As long as you keep your head up you will get through it. before trying this I havent done a glass project like this, its a big one! One that Ill use about four to five gallons of glass on. Then about a gallon of Bondo. But I will get through it.
Or I guess you can just buy a 4080 box. They look nice and for the price cant be beat!

1) Those who figure it out as they go along, because they have already made up their minds that they can and will. (Such as the above).
2) Those that don't start, or hit a bump and give up, because they have already decided that they can't.
3) The people who do a hack job, but are oblivious to that fact, and hare thrilled that they did it themselves - so who am I to criticize? (Unless they ask me what I think, of course - then honesty is the rule). Those guys get good over time if they stay open to it.
This is obvi no hack job, looks pretty good. But if you're going to follow in his footsteps, your state of mind is the most important thing - not your experience level, but your approach.

g352nv,
Quick Q's about the Glass job (Anyone can jump in if they wish, as they are general about fiberglass application).
1) When you are putting the fabric over the original mold, what are you securing the fabric with to the mold?
2) When you are applying the resin and glass to the fabric, are you just applying over the end of the fabric and your original mold?
3) What prevents the original mold from separating from the fabric and ring side of the mold?
In all the sites I have seen talk about it, nobody ever details how they are attaching the fabric (unless there is wood to staple to), and nobody expands upon the application of resin over the fabrics and original mold.
If you made the original mold to fit into a space, the addition of fabric, resin, and glass would add to the thickness, so it shouldn't be a sealed tight fit anymore around the area where the original mold and fabric side meet.
Any elaboration would be awesome...and I appologize if this is in anyway a hijack of the thread.
Thank you.

You attach it with hot glue. It sticks like crazy glue! I can pull it as tight as I want and it wont come off. Once it on I brush many layers of resin over the fleece. Once that is try I spread resin and matt on the inside of the box. This is what will bond the two parts togeather really well. As for fitment, I didnt have a problem but if I did I would just hit the edges with a grinder.
