Enough room for Eclipse AVN with factory Nav?

Before I even embark on this project, has anyone installed an Eclipse AVN 2454 or 5435 on a G with the factory Nav? I just don't know what kind of bracket is behind there that would prevent the depth of this unit.

yes theres enough room, but when you change out your factory headunit you lose the stock navi sound, unless u get an auxiliary speaker...

i say u switch out the headunit, get the AVN and make the factory navi screen an extra screen that works with your AVN, it will be tight!

PM me for info!

Any chance of you just telling us in the forum about using the navi screen as an extra screen with the AVN?

Yeah, Get The Avelectronics To Use Your Stock Navi As An Auxiliary Screen For Anything U Want To Use It For... In This Case, A New Headunit

Wouldn't it just be the same picture though? Or could you say have the Navi going on the HU and a DVD going on the stock Nav screen?

Personally I do not like our nav system after using some others, so I'm not looking to add a speaker just for that.

I've heard the AVN's are hard to hack into to allow nav input while moving or DVD playback. Not sure how that's going to turn out.
