1) that 2-3 minutes is ONLY if you solder well. If you don't solder well, crimp.

2) Ends get loose over time. Even if you don't haar any diff in the moment, don't use ends that will get loose over time if you can help it.

3) Radio Shack ends are for ****e.

Okay so assuming I do this, I'll have one set of RCA female plugs to use. I am using two amps though, so I would need two sets of RCA's. Would it be best to use two more Y-adapters on my freshly made plugs? Or should I tap/splice into the rear speaker inputs for another set of female plugs?

Tell me if that doesn't make sense.

You would want to use unspliced Y's on your newly attached female RCA pigtails. The fewer taps/splices you make the better.

It would be better if your amp has an RCA preamp passthrough, however, like the JL "slash" series amps and several others. This would prevent you from further decreasing your voltage (which will happen when you "Y" the RCA input going into the amps), which in turn would require you to up your gains, which would cause you to up your noise.

If your line driver takes balanced inputs.

According to the Phoenix Gold rep:

"The unit is not specifically a “balanced” device but there in no ground reference on the input/output."

So I should be able to use it
