Yes, you can do that with any iPod. Just buy an FM transmitter that's made for that model. As long as you don't mind listening to your iPod music at FM quality, bleh. IMO the tape adapters sound better than the FM transmitters but they're not good either. You'll get much better sound by using one of the many devices that add an Aux In such as the PAC AAI-NIS.

 

FM modulators suck ***.

Get a direct connection adapter.

 

Hey does anybody know if that AAI-NIS will work with a 2003 non-bose, non-GPS system? I just want to do a hard iPod install.

 

Im pretty sure the pac will work. You just have to make sure you have the Satellite button so you use the sound input for that one.

ohh and the FR transmitters are horrible, do a direct connection with a pac unit. Will work real well and sound is amazing compared to the FM transmitter
