Question 06 G35 6MT Coupe audio question

Hi Folks,

I have been doing some research on the components I will need to tie an aftermarket navigation system (more specifically, a carPC) into the factory headunit on an 06 G35 6MT Coupe with the premium package. For the 05, the options look fairly straight forward: PAC Audio AAI-NIS to connect to the Sat/Aux audio inputs on the headunit and the SWI-X to support the steering wheel controls. Since the 06 premium audio package introduces Bluetooth support, and this appears to be integrated with the headunit, it is unclear if the Sat/Aux inputs are still available (I won't be getting a Sat radio)

I don't have the car as of yet to investigate this myself, but would prefer to know before I start tearing open the console after I pick it up from the dealership.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

For 06, is Sirius an optional hardware piece of standard? (I would expect it to be stnadard soon...)

When it becomes standard, you can just hijack the audio lines into the HU.

Sirius/XM radios are optional equipment on the 06. From what I have read, late model 03's and subsequent years all seem to be pre-wired for satellite receivers even if they are not installed at the factory.

(Bump)

I have seen rumors that the AAI-NIS is being EOLed in favor of some as of yet unreleased replacement. I still haven't seen positive confirmation that these will work on the 06s though. Has anyone tried this, or do I have to be the guinea pig
