I searched but could not find a definitive answer: Can I install my ipod in my 04 G35 coupe with the bose/Sat radio, and contol the ipod with the factory H/U?

The factory head unit is not going to control your Ipod.

There is the AAI-NIS made by Pac Audio. This unit allows you to plug in an external audio source into your factory system. However this is for cars without a satellite receiver already hooked up, since it uses the SAT input.

There is a device from PAC that is a companion to the AAI-NIS, the SWI-X (I think). It's kind of a learning remote that can work with the AAI-NIS to control the iPod from the steering wheel controls. But, if you have SAT receiver already I think you have to look at options other than the AAI-NIS.

I've got the SAT button but don't have the SAT unit installed, so If I get both peices I can use the steering wheel controls? Sounds good.

I believe you can keep your SAT with the AAI-NIS installed. The AAI-NIS gives you (I think) two inputs. One you use for your existing satellite input and the other you use for your aftermarket input. I'd assume you'd have to do some adapting to get the stock SAT audio input signal into the AAI-NIS (to RCA?).

You are correct amthar. If you can get RCAs from the SAT receiver you'd be good to go. The AAI-NIS has two sets of RCA inputs. You toggle between them by pressing the SAT button. Shows as SR1 or SR2.

Nodnarb901: With AAI-NIS and SWI-X you will be able to use your steering wheel controls. However, I'm not sure what features you can control so I'd check PAC's site.

Thanks for all the info.
Is there a wiring diagram to use both PAC adapters? and how to make it all work? Sorry for the newbie question.

All the PAC products have manuals online at pac-audio.com.
