Pac Swi PS help

I think the installer who did my avic-D1 installation(and messed up alot of stuff) lost the installation manual that came with the Pac Swi-PS, is the installation of the Pac Swi-PS possible without the installation manual(is it plug and play)?

It's probably online at pac-audio.com. I know many of the others are.

It is most certainly not plug and play. You will need to wire in 2 different resistors into 2 separate wires. Then you will need to take the remaining ends of the resistors and connect the white wire from the Pac PS.

You will also need to program the buttons on the steering wheel to what you want them to do.

The instructions are not taht clear as far as the resistors go. I just did what i thouhgt was right and it worked.

There is a schematic. The instructions are pretty clear. Basically the white wire gets spliced into two different wires, each with it's own inline resistor. Both of those two wires then go to specific pins in a harness. Then I believe there is another pin in that harness you have to ground (again this is all from memory when I did mine).

Anyway, that's the only tricky part. Everything else is straightforward.

The PAC units are really finicky to program. I hate doing them.

I have questions regarding this Pac Swi PS as well.

1. Is my Z1 head unit needs to be connected to the car while I am installing/programming this unit?

2. The two resistors are wired to white wire and need to be connected to red and green wires (i believe). So my question is that wire harness the resistors are going to connect with is not in use, what I mean is... it doesn't connect to anything in the car since I change out my OEM HU. Is that correct?

Thank you..
