Ipod Video in the 05 G35 Coupe

Whats going on G35 enthusiasts, I need HELP!!! I am having a hard time figuring out what I need to install my Ipod Video to my factory stereo. I've heard so many different ways. I am looking to connect the Ipod to the stereo, use the steering controls and charge the ipod. I want to also connect the Ipod to the factory Navigation screen. What do I need!

Since I don't have the nagivation nor the time to invest in doing a complex task, I'd simply get a fm modulator and connect the ipod. In terms of utilizing the steering controls, would anybody off the top of their heads kno of a way to integrating it? I'd use an external switch for the ipod.

Maybe this post wil guide u - https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-video-electronics/74539-ipod-connection.html

im in the same situation. this is wut i gather wut i would need for my Video iPod. Pac NAIIS unit for the audio, iPod cable which supports both audio and video coming out of the iPod (meant for TV's). Dominicks TVNav2Go unit to tap into the screen. Diagram below.

iPod > audio/video cable out > audio into PAC unit > video into TVNavToGo unit = audio through stereo, video from ipod transferred up into navi screen.

Can anyone CONFIRM this????? Any of you audio/video gurus.

This is correct, and has already been covered on the forums. There is a PAC SWI-X that supposedly lets you connect the steering wheel controls to the ipod (unsure how), but this is rather complicated and I really do not think it's worth it considering how intuitive the interface for an ipod is.

What the TVNav2Go unit called and whats it going for...where is he located...is he installing it for you...and whats he charging

Have you figured out where are you going to install the Ipod. Im not sure where Im goin to install it...the idea of putting it where the cup holder is really doesnt work for me. Im thinking of installing it in the arm rest or in the hidden compartment in the rear armrest, but i think the problem with that location is that is not deep enough.

you cant play the video of a ipod through the video deck. ipod has no video outputs. the only way to see any sort of ipod controll is on the clarion and possably on the eclipse avn. clarion has a ipod program built in and just needs a small box added on. and for the eclipse, we just got the new Ipod to Eclipse part in today made by peripheral. i havent wont be installing one till tuesday but it should be pretty nice. and the SWIX cant controll the ipod because it has no remote eye to recieve the signal sent out by the swix. its is only ment to controll aftermarket radios with a remote eye.

tv out

The wire you need has a headphone jack on one end and three rca's on the other, two for left right sound and one for video. This will transfer your video feed as well as your sound which attatched to a av electronics unit or something similar wil transfer video and sound. Here's the link to the wire on on the apple site unless your bought a 1st gen photo model which came with the wire.
