Bump....

Any pic of the installs yet? I'm really curious since I think I'll be doing the same upgrades on mine.

The sedan install went smooth. The pics are in my camera. I just need to resize and upload them. Sorry, been a little busy.

In this day and age, alot of people lease their cars or simply don't want to tear them apart to do massive sound systems. They just want decent sound at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, the Bose system in our cars falls short. This is where the Infinity speakers come into play. They are reasonably priced, fit in the OEM locations with a little time, and sound worlds better than the Bose speakers.
There are times when I wish I had my 89 Maxima with the Sony XES system back. That car was our demo car and it about 18K worth of electronics in it. It sounded better than most people's home stereos. But, as I got older I simply wanted to spend my money elsewhere. I am sure there are alot of people who just want their cars to sound decent without spending a few grand.

Amen to that ! Now, if only the weather would get a little warmer so I can start replacing my speakers with these Infinities!

My Kappas came in last night. I'll be putting them in this weekend. I installed my Alpine MRV-F450 5CH amp last weekend. It already sounds worlds better. Also waiting on my 4080 sub box (should be here Thursday) which will be seeing a JL 10W1 powered by the 5th CH on the Alpine amp. I'm hoping it will be enough power. I will most likely have to turn the gains down on CH 1-4 to match since the Kappas are 2 ohm.

I was looking into a set of DLS speakers for my sedan. Do you have any recommendations for which shops in the SF bay area that carries them?

Question Best speaker upgrade with OEM HU?

Can someone please summarize/clarify the consensus about the Kappas? It appears that 60.7cs (6.5) go in the front and the 62.7i (6.5) in the rear. But what about the tweeters in the pillars? thanks

One thing i forgot to Ask, When you switched from bose speakers to Infinty did you notice if they were loud compared to before or were they the same?. After i install these speakers, by adding a amp will the sound be louder while maintaining qualiitty?
If so, WHich amp do you guys suggest?
Thanks

The 60.7cs components include a tweeter that will replace the stock tweeter in the pillars.

Manbir_Sandhu - They are just as loud as the stock Bose speakers. And sure, if you add a quality amp to power them then they can go louder and maintain clarity. A lot of people on the board go with the JL Audio amps. See my post above for what I have. (I also have a JL Audio 250/1 and a 300/4 sitting in my office. not sure if I'm going to put them in place of the Alpine or not)

THanks,
You have Alpine MRV-F450 5CH amp, I might also consider that for my G. I just have few questions, For Speakers, how many channel amp do u need? I'm guessing its 4 or 5 channel speaker.
I'm going to install the JL 500/1 amp for my 2 subs. And probablly one amp for the speakers. How is Alpine MRV-F450 5CH? Is it worth it?

thanks
