How do you change the stations on satellite?

I just installed an oem sirius. How do you change stations? I looked through the owners manual, these forums, and googled for it but can't figure it out. I can kind of go from one genre to another and go through stations that way, but it will skip from station 001 to 015 to 040 etc. I can't go from station 001 to 002 to 003, it's weird. Does anybody else have this problem or am I just doing something obviously wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

Try using the fast fwd/rewind buttons (on the left side of the HU). You can also push and hold the steering wheel control switch and it will advance by one station.

OK, i called sirius and they said they'd force an update to my HU because apparently the reciever wasn't seeing the activation. Gave it about 20 minutes just sitting there and now all the channels work perfectly. I thought I was doing something wrong and tried your suggestions - I was going out of my mind. Thanks for your responses.

I just got XM and thought my XM wasn't working either. I didnt know you had to leave the unit on for 20 minutes.

Well I had it sitting there for a while and it still didn't work so I called the sirius support line and they said they'd push an update manually. I assume xm has something similar. Hope that helps.
