Thanks for all the responses guys, another ?, did any of you notice any new rattles in the cabin after it was dismantled and then put back together?

Maybe it wasn't a part now that I think of it because I remember him saying it was just tapping into the correct wires... So maybe that was just labor.

No rattles here... Installers did a fantastic job. That's key to an alarm.. A good installer is where it is at.

I've had my 791XV on my Sedan for about a year and a half now and absolutely love it... though my original transponder FOB got flaky, so I bought a new one to replace it. I also have windows up/down on my remote as well. When we installed the alarm, they disconnected the trunk release from inside the car, it ONLY works from my remote FOB, since I have a decent amount of audio gear in the trunk

Why buy a new one? Why not just have the shop that did it replace it for you?

I didn't think about that, lol. I still have my old one... come to think of it.. I do have the extended warranty.. hmmmm

u need a relay to make the trunk pop, so $25 isnt bad

A basic alarm needs a siren wire, a parking light wire, a power wire, a ground wire, and an ignition wire. The LED and switch plug in now.

That's $125. Sounds like $25 per wire to me...

Dont forget brake,tach,Acc,both sides of 2 starters,4 door triggers,trunk trigger. This was a 791 he got.

791 does not have onboard relay for the trunk pop, so please tell me how u hooked it up.

If you have to ask, you shouldn't do it.


And you're right, we would've charged $350.
