need 6.5" suggestions

hey guys, sorry to be a bother..i am working aggressively to begin my custom system..well I need some help..what 6.5" speakers do you guys suggest for the doors and the rear panels..(i will be getting rid of the 6x9's since they are only woofers and serve no purpose if you have subs) and a good amp to run those 4 speakers..also what tweeters to get?or can i just disgard them...

get a component set.... comes with 6.5in, tweets, and a crossover.

Your question is very general..... what price range?

There are a ton of component systems out there....

you will get 2 tweets, 2 6.5 mids and 2 crossovers in one component system. i think there might have been some confusion in the way that question was worded.

I think you should get a set of Dynaudios... the System 240 Mk II is good.

They're $800 a set and the tweeter won't fit in the OEM spot, though. Not sure the woofer fits either.

Or you could get a set of DLS UP6... we love putting those things in.

(khsonic, I still haven't heard jack from CDT...)

The MD100s will fit in the factory locations, although not behind the factory grill, they would need to be surface mounted.

Definately a great choice though.

Dang, people, we need to push the CDT's! Everyone say it together, "CDT is good". Oh well, I think this is a lost cause...
Here's another no-namer "Adire Audio" they make some good stuff too...

I'll put in my $.02 for CDT. I just installed a set of CDT EF-61CFI/24 and they're great speakers. I can also hook you up with an authorized dealer that will sell them to you for $225 delivered.

i wouldnt get rid of the rear deck speakers. those are your rear fill and they will put out a lot more sound than the side panels in the back.

I would ditch the rears. A 6x9 is not a very sonically accurate speaker. Besides, front stage is where it's at, let the woofers breathe into the cabin through the 6x9 holes. Use the side speakers for rear fill if you must. My $.02.
